Insider reveals Tottenham's Scarlett loan plan ahead of January window
Tottenham will look to loan out Dane Scarlett next season as current rules are preventing them from doing so this year.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Scarlett, 19, bagged a brace for England Under 19s on November 10, meaning he has scored six goals in his last six international appearances.
He has also been in fine form in the Premier League 2 this season, scoring six times in seven games.
However, the attacker, previously described by Wenham as “outstanding”, has made just three senior appearances this season with all of them coming in the UEFA Conference League.
Wenham claims Tottenham aren’t yet able to loan out a second-year scholar but expects the striker to leave on loan in the summer of 2022.

“I think the plan with Dane is that he will stay with Tottenham this season,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Because he is still a second-year professional, he can’t go out on loan yet [in January].
“Even though he has made some appearances for the first team, rules state he can’t go out on loan until next season.
“I know a lot of people have been asking that question.
“He can go out from the 1st of July and that is probably something Tottenham will look to do.
“He’s another player who needs first-team minutes and he just isn’t getting that at the moment.
“He just needs to keep scoring, keep impressing and see what happens.”
