Insider: Tottenham should finalise Wijnaldum-Ndombele part-exchange deal
Tottenham should try and include Georginio Wijnaldum in any deal that will see Tanguy Ndombele join PSG.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
A Spurs source has told Football Insider on Tuesday (25 January) the club are in negotiations with PSG over a potential loan move, while Ndombele has other options on the table.
Stumbling blocks include the percentage of Ndombele’s £200,000-a-week wages that will be paid during the loan and if there will be a purchase clause included.
Wenham has suggested Tottenham could instead ask for a PSG player to join the club and he named Wijnaldum as a suitable candidate.
“I would go after Wijnaldum, all day,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He is used to the Premier League, he is used to winning things and he’s a full international.
“I imagine he knows Bergwijn quite well. He knows the league inside out and he would come straight into the midfield.
“He hasn’t settled at PSG, as we all know, so if he is available I hope Tottenham are doing everything to get him.
“If you look at the players PSG have and the ones who are more likely to move in these talks, Wijnaldum would suit us so well.
“There is a reason PSG signed him and a reason he was so close to moving to Barcelona. He’s still a brilliant player.”
Wijnaldum has made 25 appearances since joining PSG.
However, the 31-year-old told Dutch outlet NOS on 11 October the situation at PSG is “not what I wanted”.
