'Isn't the answer', 'Poor' - Celtic fans torn over one player after win v Rangers

Celtic fans on social media are split down the middle on Hoops defender Kristoffer Ajer’s performance against Rangers on Sunday.

Despite the Hoops winning 5-0, and emphatic win which clinched their seventh consecutive league title, fans weren’t entirely convinced by the 19-year-old’s performance against the Hoops’ bitter rivals.

Whilst the Norwegian has generally had an excellent season, he made a few errors against the Gers, with one fan going as far as to say that he ‘isn’t the answer’.

Whilst other fans thought that the teenager fared well in the match, with one fan claiming that he was a ‘warrior’.

Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to Ajer’s performance:

Ajer has been excellent for the Hoops since becoming a regular in the side in December, following the 4-0 loss to Hearts in December.

He replaced Jozo Simunovic in the starting line-up and hasn’t looked back since, with his best performances probably coming alongside the much maligned Derdyck Boyata.

Interesting, Boyata probably had a better game than Ajer against the Gers, as he kept Jason Cummings quiet throughout the game.

Brendan Rodgers will have been satisfied with the performances of Ajer and Boayata this season, and will likely keep the duo in the side for the rest of the season.
