Man City star Jack Grealish took to social media to celebrate an impressive display in their 2-1 League Cup victory over Watford on Tuesday (September 24).

The 29-year-old played a pivotal role in City's win, selflessly setting up Jeremy Doku for the opener after a lapse in judgment from the Watford defence while playing out of the back.

Then, making a rare appearance, central midfielder Matheus Nunes then added a second for City with a well-placed drive into the bottom left corner.

Former wonderkid Tom Ince made things a little tense in the last few minutes with a beautiful curling effort from outside of the box but it was too little too late for the visitors.

City, along with other qualified sides, will learn their opponents for Round Four of the League Cup on Tuesday (September 25).

The England international is going through somewhat of a renaissance this season after struggling for regular first-team football under Pep Guardiola last time out.

Grealish has started six games across all competitions for club and country so far this season making two goal contributions.

With another impressive display under his belt, Guardiola will find it tricky to keep him out of the side with a busy month ahead for the Premier League champions.

The left-winger took to Instagram to celebrate the victory, already anticipating the next round against whoever it may be.

City and Grealish next turn their attention to a Premier League tie against Newcastle on Saturday (September 28) after their fiery draw against title contender Arsenal in matchday five.

Despite dropping points to the North London side the Champions still remain at the summit of the Premier League table with 13 points.
