James Justin: Leeds United will fear summer exit after goal-scoring performance in Wolves win

James Justin was Leeds United’s standout player on Saturday as they beat Wolves 3-0 to edge closer to safety.

The Peacocks dominated Rob Edwards’ side, with the full-back opening the scoring at Elland Road with a terrific overhead kick.

This proved to be the straw that broke the camel’s back as Leeds went on to score another two goals as they completely dominated the game.

With survival now all but secured, Daniel Farke is likely to begin preparations for the new season.

However, he may now fear a potential Jusin departure from Leeds as he continues to impress.

James Justin was outstanding vs Wolves

Coming in during the summer transfer window, there was plenty of scepticism about the signing of Justin.

However, in recent weeks, he has been an integral part of Farke’s side, rarely putting a foot wrong in the backline.

Justin was fantastic against Wolves

Against Wolves, he was at his best, with the defender proving that he is capable of pushing the club further up the table for years to come.

According to Fotmob on 18 April, he completed 84 per cent of his passes, completed four long balls, won seven tackles, including one last man tackle, made six clearances and completed three interceptions.

As a result, Leeds are now unbeaten in six matches in all competitions, keeping clean sheets in four of them, much thanks to Justin’s performances.

Therefore, Leeds will no doubt fear that other clubs could be sniffing around the defender in the transfer window, with the signing proving to be a masterstroke by Farke.

Hopefully, any offers from other clubs will be rejected as they look to build on what has been a successful season to date.

What are Leeds’ summer transfer plans?

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Leeds will target players to play in their newfound 3-5-2 formation in the summer.

This tactic has helped completely change the club’s fortunes and save Farke’s job.

On Saturday, it completely dismantled Wolves, as it did with Manchester United on Monday.

With the FA Cup semi-final on the horizon, Farke will be hoping that this form can continue into the match at Wembley.

If so, it could be a very memorable season for Leeds, as fans continue to lap up their newfound style of play.
