Jan Vertonghen posts Twitter message after reaching Tottenham landmark v Arsenal

Powerful centre-back Jan Vertonghen has posted his delight on Twitter after reaching 200 appearances for Tottenham in Sunday’s victory over Arsenal.
The 30-year-old Belgium international lined up against the Gunners on Sunday for the last ever north London derby at White Hart Lane.
He once again marshalled Spurs to a victory and a clean sheet at the back with second half goals coming from each of Dele Alli and Harry Kane.
It was a massive occasion for those associated with Tottenham and after the match Vertonghen posted his delight on his personal Twitter account after playing in his 200th game for the club.

Vertonghen has now been at Tottenham for five years after joining from Dutch side Ajax in the summer of 2012.

He has been a consistent star for the club and has often played a huge part in Spurs boasting one of the best defensive records in the Premier League table.
This season he has played in 29 of the club’s 34 league matches and Tottenham have conceded just 22 goals from their 34 league matches this season with Manchester United trailing in second in the defensive stats with 25 goals conceded.
