Jarrod Bowen has sent a message to West Ham United supporters following his return from injury during their loss against Chelsea on Monday (3 February).

The Hammers let a one-goal lead slip in the second half at Stamford Bridge after a goal from Pedro Neto and an own goal by Aaron Wan-Bissaka gave Chelsea all three points.

The defeated extended West Ham’s winless run to three games, with the club having only won once since Graham Potter replaced Julen Lopetegui.

West Ham are currently sat 15th in the Premier League table after their first 24 games and sit 10 points above the relegation zone.

The Irons will be back in action on Saturday (15 February) against Brentford in the Premier League.

It marked his first appearance since fracturing his foot during the 5-0 loss against Liverpool on 29 December, and he marked the return with an Instagram message.

The West Ham captain said, “Not the result we wanted tonight but it felt so good to be back out on the pitch after a frustrating period. We stick together & see you back at the London Stadium soon.”

The England international frustratingly missed out on five games in all competitions due to his injury, including West Ham’s defeat in the FA Cup.
