'What a joke' – Aston Villa fans react to official club statement

Aston Villa’s Championship game with QPR has been called off because of the adverse weather conditions and some fans aren’t happy.

The news was announced on the official Aston Villa Twitter page on Saturday morning after a late inspection.

Tickets will be valid for the rearranged fixture or fans can get a refund, although they won’t get the booking fee back.

The match will now play out on Tuesday March 13, with a 7.45pm kick-off.

Some fans are gutted, with many not able to make a midweek game, although others say that it’s the correct decision.

One fan did say that it would have been better if they’d postponed the game on Friday while another said it was pathetic as he’d managed to get to work all week.
