Jordan Henderson has hailed Liverpool for their “brilliant” 3-1 win against Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Midfielder Henderson was injured for the clash at Anfield so Emre Can, Georginio Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana were the players picked to play in the middle of the park.
The trio produced a magnificent attacking display, in particular, Lallana who was one of the best players on the pitch during the top four clash.
The home side took an early lead through Roberto Firmino with the Gunners opting to leave their star man Alexis Sanchez on the bench.
Winger Sadio Mane, who frightened the Arsenal defensive backline throughout the match, scored his side’s second just before the break.
Sanchez did come on during the second period but despite Danny Welbeck’s goal, Wijnaldum sealed the points in stoppage time to the delight of Henderson.
“Brilliant win,” Henderson wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Well done lads. You’ll never walk alone.”

That win is hugely important for Jurgen Klopp because it means his side now move into the top four at the expense of the north London club.
They are in third place on 52 points from their 27 matches, two points ahead of fifth-placed Arsenal who have a game in hand.
However, the Merseyside club can be overtaken by Manchester City on Sunday when they travel to the Stadium of Light to take on rock-bottom Sunderland.
In other Liverpool news, these four players were vulnerable during the win against Arsenal.
