Josip Juranovic expected to exit Celtic after president speaks out - pundit
Alan Hutton has suggested Celtic defender Josip Juranovic would struggle to turn down a move to the Premier League or La Liga.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Rangers right-back said that playing for "the best league in the world" could sway Juranovic.
On 20 June, journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that the 26-year-old would be leaving Parkhead this summer.
Speaking to Spanish outlet AS (27 June), Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo said the club were interested in signing a right-back.
Romano provided an update (28 June) that the La Liga giants have not made a bid for the Croatia international yet.
When asked if the Celtic defender would be open to leaving the Hoops, Hutton told Football Insider: "I think it depends what the concrete offer is.
"If this is far down the line and Atletico Madrid are willing to stump up the cash for him.
"We know they’ve had bother at full-back since [Kieran] Trippier left to go to Newcastle so they’re obviously in the market for someone of a good standard.
"Would England sway him? Possibly, I think it’s the best league in the world. If you’re talking about a team that’s going to go for top ten down south, he would probably rather that because it is one of the best leagues.
"But Spain is very attractive. I think if it does come down to that it would be hard to turn down."
