Kasper Schmeichel sends six-word message to Celtic fans after shock
Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has taken to social media to thank the fans for their support after his team's shock 3-1 Champions League win over RB Leipzig on Tuesday (November 5).
Schmeichel, who celebrated his 38th birthday on the same day as their European win, couldn’t have asked for a better gift as Brendan Rodgers' side climbed to 13th in the new Champions League league phase.
A brace from in-form winger Nicolas Kuhn and a 72nd-minute strike from Reo Hatate were enough to blow the German side out of the water after Christoph Baumgartner's opener.
The veteran goalkeeper wasn't particularly busy but was as reliable as ever when called upon, ending the game having made two saves, five recoveries, and a pass accuracy rate of 89 per cent.

Since joining the club in the summer transfer window, the Denmark international has coincided just three Scottish Premier League goals and kept eight clean sheets.
It's clear that the fans have taken to him, and Schmeichel wanted to let them know how much he appreciated their birthday messages, taking to Instagram to send a message.
Both Celtic and Schmeichel will now turn their attention back to the Scottish Premier League as they prepare to face Derek McInnes' Kilmarnock on Sunday (November 10).
Aberdeen remain hot on their tails, but the Glasgow club look well on their way to a fourth consecutive league title.
