Kemar Roofe reveals what he is not doing during Leeds play-off push
By Danny Wright
Kemar Roofe has revealed that he is not taking any notice of the Leeds’ league position during their bid to qualify for the play-offs.
The 24-year-old scored as Garry Monk’s side eased to a 3-0 win over Preston on Saturday.
The three points saw Leeds catch up to Reading and Huddersfield, who both lost their fixtures at the weekend, but they remain in fifth place with 72 points.
Five points separate the Whites and Fulham, who look as though they’re the only team capable of breaking into the play-off spots.
Roofe has admitted that Leeds have already performed higher than expectations this campaign and that means that there is not as much pressure on them as their play-off rivals.

“None of us feel pressure because no-one expected this at the start of the season,” said the ex-West Brom and Oxford midfielder, as quoted by the Yorkshire Post.
“I guarantee that if you’d asked anyone at the start of the season ‘where do you expect us to finish?’ probably no-one would have said the play-offs or promotion but we’re doing that.
“To be honest, if you asked me, I don’t even know where we are in the league. It doesn’t bother us. We just take it game by game.”
In his debut season at Elland Road, Roofe has made 44 appearances across all competitons, scoring four goals and providing six assists.
He was signed from Oxford last summer on a four-year deal and has not found it too difficult to make the transition from League Two to the Championship.
The West Yorkshire club have five games remaining of their season.
They face a testing trip to Newcastle on Friday night before finishing off their impressive campaign against Wolves, Burton, Norwich and Wigan.
In other Leeds news, the club are set for a huge promotion boost due to a potential Premier League ruling.
