Martin Keown delivers verdict on Arsenal and Man United top-four chances
By Matt Bullin
Former Arsenal and England star Martin Keown has claimed that Arsenal can sneak into the top four, but Manchester United will miss out.
The Gunners got back to winning ways on Wednesday night as they brushed aside West Ham at the Emirates 3-0.
Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud were all on target for Arsenal as they won their first Premier League match since February.
The result eased the growing pressure on the club to reach the top four as they climbed above United on goal difference into fifth.
Arsene Wenger’s side still trail Manchester City in fourth by four points, but they have a game in hand.

Writing in his Tackle Keown column in the Daily Mail Keown said that Arsenal’s win over the Hammers was a big step towards securing Champions League qualification.
He said: “I would still think [Arsenal] have a chance [to get into the top four], given what happened with Liverpool last night.
“Arsenal will pull away from United slightly – they have kinder fixtures. [United’s] best bet is to do it via the Europa League.”
Keown, 50, made over 400 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal and his comments will no doubt please the Gunners faithful.
The tough-tackling centre-half won three Premier League titles, three FA Cups and the UEFA Cup Winner’s Cup at the club.
Next up for Wenger and his team is a short trip to Crystal Palace on Monday night where they will look to continue their top-four push.
