Kieran Trippier: This Tottenham player doesn't stop telling stories

By Harvey Byrne

Kieran Trippier has shared that Ben Davies is always telling stories when Tottenham travel on the coach to away fixtures.

The two full-backs share a common ground in the Spurs team as the two back-ups to first choice stars Kyle Walker and Danny Rose.

This would naturally bring the two together in the Tottenham squad and Trippier has humorously told of how he has to listen to music otherwise he would be listening to teammate Davies’ stories “all the time.”

“I just listen to music and listen to Ben Davies’ stories all the time, so I have to listen,” told Trippier when answering what he does on the team coach to away games on the club’s official YouTube channel.

Trippier, 26, completed a move to Tottenham from Burnley in the summer of 2015 for a relatively cheap £3.5million.

He is often hailed for his delivery and this season he has managed to return three assists in just seven Premier League outings.

Meanwhile, Davies, who joined a year earlier from Swansea has also enjoyed more pitch time than his counterpart with 17 league appearances this season due to Rose suffering with an injury in the past few months.

It is likely that the Welshman will start against Chelsea on Saturday for the FA Cup semi-final clash, while Trippier is expected to watch from the bench with Walker in the team.
