'Why is Koeman obsessed' - Everton fans blast decision to start 27-year-old vs Hajduk Split
By Harvey Byrne
Summer right-back signing Cuco Martina was named in the Everton starting line-up to face Hajduk Split on Thursday evening – and Toffees fans on Twitter have blasted the decision.
Manager Ronald Koeman brought the 27-year-old to Goodison Park in a free transfer deal from Southampton after the two worked together on the south coast.
Martina has so far made two appearances for Everton since his move with one coming in a 1-0 victory over Ruzomberok in the Europa League, while his over also came in a 1-0 victory over Stoke in the Premier League.
Boss Koeman kept his faith in the Curacao international on Thursday as he named him in his back four alongside Michael Keane, Ashley Williams and Leighton Baines.

Martina will be keen to win over Everton fans as well as putting in some impressive displays as soon as possible with long-term full-back Seamus Coleman set to take the right-back position back once he returns from his injury lay-off.
In other Everton news, the Toffees have made an emphatic striker decision.
