Napoli are set to demand "big" money for Kvicha Kvaratskhelia in January amid interest from Man City, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O'Rourke revealed that the Italian club will do "everything they can" to keep hold of their star man for the rest of the season.

As a result, Premier League clubs may be made to wait until the summer before a move becomes viable, despite growing interest.

Kvaratskhelia, 23, remains one of the hottest talents in Europe thanks to his performances in Serie A in recent years and remains highly rated by elite sides.

His five goals and three assists in 15 league appearances so far this season have proved that his level remains high as Napoli sit second in the table, behind league leaders Atalanta.

Man City, meanwhile, are expected to spend big in the January transfer window after a disappointing first half of the season, having won just eight of their first 15 games.
