La Liga expert: The 'time has come' for Arsenal to seal deal for Isak after Athletic update
Kevin Campbell has heaped praise on Sweden striker Alexander Isak and claimed he “ticks a lot of boxes” for Arsenal.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton forward said “the time has come” for the 21-year-old to leave his current club Real Sociedad amid interest in his signature from the Premier League.
Isak was one of the standout performers on Monday as Sweden began their Euro campaign with a goalless draw against Spain.
According to The Athletic (10 June), Mikel Arteta’s side hold a longstanding interest in the centre-forward who has three years remaining on his contract with Real Sociedad.
Campbell is a big fan of the striker having watched him on numerous occasions while delivering weekly punditry for La Liga TV.
“I have seen him play a fair bit and I like him a lot,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.

“He is quick, strong, direct and likes to play on the shoulder. He is only going to get better.
“The time has come for him to move to a better team now, it really has. He is only young and speaks good English so he ticks a lot of boxes for Arsenal.
“If he is going to make a move, I think the time has come. He needs to take that next step to further his development and coming to England to experience the Premier League could be that next step.”
Isak scored 17 goals in 34 La Liga appearances in the 2020-21 campaign.
He has scored five goals in 23 appearances for his country.
