Since Leeds sacked their manager Paul Heckingbottom on Friday, the club has been reportedly hard at work landing a real coup.

Marcelo Bielsa has been their number one target and fans are stunned that they are seemingly in with a shot at landing the former Argentina and Chile manager.

They been locked in talks since, but one journalist warned fans not to get too excited.

Alan Nixon, the Sun's transfer expert, warned them that when Bielsa was in talks with Swansea, he eventually said no to them over finances.

It is to be expected that Bielsa would have wanted significant assurances that there was enough money to spend at the club.

Leeds finished 13th in the Championship this season and a significant overhaul of the squad is required.

However, the latest update from Phil Hay from the Yorkshire Evening Post should be enough to get Leeds fans even more excited.

Talks have been ongoing and now Hay has said that "contract terms still under discussion".

This suggests that any of the "big picture" discussions over finances and money available to spend have been dispensed with.

The latest update definitely makes it sound like contract terms are being negotiated, which should make Leeds fans even more optimistic that owner Andrea Radrizzani is going to prove just how ambitious he is.

Knowing what's on the line, it seems unlikely that Radrizzani will let his man slip through the net because of terms on a contract that can't be a million miles away.

For us, this is the clearest indication that Bielsa will be the new Leeds manager, although as has been said already, when you're dealing with a manager whose nickname is 'El Loco', you never know what will happen next.
