Sources: Salford City in advanced talks to sign Peterborough's Abraham Odoh
Salford City are in advanced talks to sign Peterborough United winger Abraham Odoh, sources have told Football Insider.
The ambitious Ammies are working to strengthen their squad this summer, and they are now on the verge of securing Odoh's signature.
The 25-year-old has spent the last two seasons with the Posh, but is now rapidly closing in on a move to the Peninsula Stadium.
Odoh made just 13 appearances in League One last season, but previously notched 11 goals and 10 assists for Peterborough in 2024-25.
The diminutive wideman hasn't played for Luke Williams' side since early January, and now looks set to be on his way out.
Salford recently confirmed the appointment of Peter Cklamovski as their new manager, and are looking to make Odoh their second summer signing.
Abraham Odoh ready to recapture League Two form
Odoh struggled to make an impact at Peterborough in 2025-26, but previously enjoyed two highly productive campaigns before that.
He terrorised League Two for Harrogate Town with 10 goals and four assists back in 2023-24, a run of form that earned him his move to the third tier.
The former Rochdale man has all the attributes to be a huge threat in the lower reaches of the EFL, and Salford believe he is the right man for their project.
The Ammies will have promotion ambitions once again after losing out to Notts County in the play-off final, and have an array of exciting attacking options.
Kelly N'Mai, Daniel Udoh and Ryan Graydon have all made big impacts in recent years, and they are now about to add Odoh to their arsenal.
Peterborough trying to steal Wrexham starlet
Football Insider revealed at the start of June that Peterborough had made an approach to sign Wrexham starlet Harry Ashfield on a permanent deal.
The 20-year-old midfielder spent time on loan at Cheltenham Town last season, and caught the eye with his performances at Whaddon Road.
He is about to enter the final year of his contract at Wrexham, which has alerted Peterborough to the possibility of a deal.
The Posh have a strong reputation for developing young EFL talent, and they are now looking to raid Wrexham for one of their prized academy graduates.
He notched an assist in an EFL Trophy win over Stockport County last October, but is still waiting for his first professional goal.
