Alexander Isak is on the verge of being officially unveiled as a new Liverpool player, and footage has emerged of him wearing the club's first-team shirt.

The Sweden international has been the talk of the window. Although Newcastle United haven't wanted to sell Isak, the forward's determination to join Liverpool put insurmountable pressure on the Magpies to let him leave.

Ahead of what is set to be a British transfer record, with £125 million likely to be the official figure, Isak has undergone his medical with Liverpool and is now preparing to be unveiled as the Reds' latest big-name signing.

Alexander Isak's Liverpool shirt number leaked

While all the media formalities are taking place, eagle-eyed fans watching outside of Liverpool's training ground have spotted the striker wearing what looks set to be his shirt number.

In a video captured by one supporter, Isak can be seen walking through the Liverpool facilities with the 2025-26 home shirt on with the No. 9 clearly visible.

Should Isak be unveiled as the Reds' new No. 9, he would've inherited the shirt Darwin Nunez wore before his transfer to Al-Hilal earlier in the window.

Pressure on to live up to mammoth price tag

With Isak set to join Arne Slot's project for well over £100 million, the pressure to perform will be sky-high.

The 25-year-old is arguably the best striker in Europe at the moment and will be looking to hit the ground running.

Although Hugo Ekitike has started excellently this season, the Frenchman will now face major competition to lead Liverpool's frontline as Isak prepares for the role of most valuable British signing.

During his three years at St. James' Park, Isak scored 62 goals and registered 11 assists in 109 games in all competitions.
