Liverpool snatched a late winner against PSG in the Champions League but fans tore into defender Andy Robertson.

The story of the first-half, and much of the second as well, was the Red's shaky defensive performance.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia came close to joining Liverpool in January, and the Georgian international thought he had opened the scoring inside 20 minutes, before VAR ruled the goal out for an offside.

The Merseyside club resisted all the pressure thrown at them by the Parisians, and claimed a dramatic first-leg victory through a seemingly exit-bound Harvey Elliott.

Under Jurgen Klopp, Robertson was one half of a magnificent full-back duo alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The Scotland international's relentless running and infectious energy perfectly complimented the Beckham-esque passing and crossing from the England international on the opposite side.

However, this season has been a painful one for the former Hull City man, with Robertson looking defensively shaky.

Against PSG, the Liverpool legend was torn apart by Barcola, Ousmane Dembele and Kvaratskhelia.

Liverpool fans want to see Andy Robertson replaced

Whilst there is still a lot of respect for the Scottish defender from Liverpool fans, they have recognised the need for an alternative for the 30-year-old.

Fans on social media highlighted Robertson as an issue against PSG, with one saying "this has to be Robertson's last season as an undisputed starter", whilst another put simply "please just leave him in Paris".
