Stuart Dallas has thoroughly earned a new contract at Leeds United this season, according to Alan Hutton.

The former Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, lauded the 30-year-old for his willingness to play all across the pitch for Marcelo Bielsa.

Leeds United

It is understood negotiations are set to take place at the end of the season.

Dallas has played every minute in all but one of Leeds' Premier League games this term.

He kicked off the campaign at left-back but had a run at right-back over December and January.

The 52-cap international has since had a run as a central or attacking midfielder.

Alan Shearer called the Northern Ireland ace "outstanding" after his double against Manchester City.

Hutton admitted he loved to see players who would turn out anywhere to do a job for their side.

As such, he insisted Dallas had earned a new and improved deal at Elland Road.

"He'll give his all, no matter where he's asked to play," Hutton told Football Insider's Russell Edge.

"That's just within him. He looks like the type of guy that doesn't even question it, he just wants to play football anywhere. If there are talks of him getting a new deal, he's earned it. You can't say that he's not.

"He's been a standout performer for them this season.

"I love to see it, players who just give their all, always, no matter what. Don't question anything: 'Yep, no problem gaffer. I'll go play at left-back for you,' even though it's not his position.

"He's definitely earned it this season."
