Leeds could be on for 'mindblowing' payday after source's update - pundit
Frank McAvennie claims Kalvin Phillips could easily fetch £90million in the current market amid the latest on his Leeds United future.
The former West Ham hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to some exclusive transfer news.
On 27 September Football Insider revealed West Ham are planning to sell Declan Rice for around £90million.
This came as The Daily Star reported on the same day that Manchester United have switched their attention from Rice to Phillips.
However, this site exclusively revealed on 16 September that Leeds have opened new contract talks with their midfielder and a source has updated to reveal they want the deal done by 1 January.
Phillips and Rice formed a formidable partnership for England during last summer’s European Championship.

McAvennie insists Leeds could demand a £90million fee for Phillips if a club like Manchester United comes knocking.
“If that offer comes in, he’s gone,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I don’t think there will be any problem with that. Is he worth it?
“I don’t know. In today’s game, my mind is blown. I look at some of the players who played when I did.
“What would Gazza be worth? Or Lineker? Oh my god, they must be worth millions and millions.
“If people say he’s worth £90million, he’s worth £90million. Who am I to argue?”
Phillips has made five appearances for the Whites this season with the club in the Premier League relegation zone.
He has also played in the EFL Cup and scored in a 3-0 win over Crewe Alexandra.
