Leeds employee hails Raphinha as 'better than Neymar' after Premier League-highest reveal
Noel Whelan has claimed Leeds United star Raphinha is “world-class” after his performances in the absence of Patrick Bamford.
The former Whites striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 24-year-old Brazillian “oozes quality”.
As per OptaJoe (November 7th), Raphinha has scored 45% of Leeds United’s Premier League strikes this term – which is the highest percentage of any top-flight player (whose team have scored more than 10 goals).
On Sunday, the winger scored his latest goal in a 1-1 draw with Leicester – whipping a free-kick past Kasper Schmeichel.
Raphinha will once again link up with his native Brazil after bursting onto the scene with the Selecao last month.
The Leeds star netted two goals and registered two assists across three internationals in October.

Whelan claimed Raphinha’s off-the-ball work is superior to that of countryman Neymar.
“There’s no doubt he’s world-class, we knew that as soon as he came into the club,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.
“He stands out all over the field. He’s shouldered so much expectation and pressure whilst Bamford’s been out – really taking the game to the opposition.
“There’s not many flair players who do as much as he does off the ball, either. He’s not afraid of digging in, doing the horrible work.
“You wouldn’t see Neymar putting in the work that Raphinha does, he’s better than him in that aspect.
“He oozes quality when he’s out there on the field, and he makes the whole stadium sit up and take notice.”
Raphinha has netted five goals in 10 league appearances for Leeds United this term.
The winger signed for the Whites from Stade Rennais for a reported £17million.
