'Shambles', 'Totally pointless' - Leeds fans go berserk after admission made by £500k signing
Leeds United fans have gone berserk on Twitter after Yosuke Ideguchi admitted that he is struggling to adapt to life in Spain during his loan spell at Cultural Leonesa.
Ideguchi, 21, was signed up by Leeds in January for £500,000 from Gamba Osaka, but even though he was widely reported to have been able to obtain a UK work permit, he was shipped out on loan to the Spanish Segunda Division.
In an interview with Marca, the Japan international said how he has found it difficult to adapt to the change in lifestyle, as well as the cold weather in Spain – even though the temperature was as low as -7°C in Leeds last week.
Whites supporters were left raging on Twitter once more by the club’s transfer policy after learning of Ideguchi’s troubles in Spain.
On the pitch things have not been great either with the midfielder earning just one start for Cultural Leonesa across all competitions and he is yet to complete more than 45 minutes in a game.
Leeds fans were furious and one claimed that his signing was “totally pointless”.

More evidence of the muddled thinking surrounding club decisions on players. Radrazzani’s faith in Orta looks more questionable by the day

No sense at all would have been more beneficial him being at bury or somewhere… also what's the point of Coyle still being out on loan when he would have started every game since end of transfer window!!! The club have made a right mess up all round AGAIN

It quite simply sums up the decisions made and the state of the club on the field at the moment #shambles

Agree, this loan doesn’t make sense. if he’s having to adapt to Spain then he is going to have to adapt to coming to England. Would have made more sense having him Leeds to adapt with his family and would prob have had more game time.

Totally pointless. If Orta wanted him to experience conditions similar to that of the Championship why did he just not let him play in the Championship? Backward thinking of the highest order

@PhilHayYEP seen only 3 appearances, inc the start, on that evidence he wouldn't get in our side, so ye, better than u23s

He’s not playing get him back here wasting his time and talent

With all the other crap going on with us at the moment I’d actually forgotten about him.The loan is another example of Orta’s genius.

Ideguchi was always seen as a signing for next season but it seems that he will be nowhere near ready to hit the Championship if he is struggling to adapt in Spain and get game-time.
The midfielder had better get his head down soon though as a place in Japan’s squad for the World Cup may come under threat.
