Leeds fans go berserk on Twitter at this Garry Monk message
By Amir Mir
Garry Monk has stated that he is proud of the progress Leeds have made since his arrival in the summer – and fans on Twitter have demanded he signs a new contract.
The Elland Road faithful went berserk with messages when Monk sent a Twitter post ahead of his side’s season finale on Sunday afternoon.
Monk’s team will travel to already relegated Wigan hoping to secure all three points and end the Championship season on a high.
His contract is due to expire in the summer after he signed a one-year rolling deal under the controversial owner Massimo Cellino last summer.
Sine then the Italian has sold 50 per cent of his stake in the club to Andrea Radrizanni, with Monk confirming that the will holds talks with him after the clash against Wigan.

For the majority of the campaign, Leeds were on course to securing a top-six spot before four defeats in April ended their chances of finishing in a play-off spot.
However, many supporters have seen the bigger picture and realise Monk has changed a club that was struggling in the second tier of English football to one that is now challenging for promotion.
The majority of supporters urged the highly-rated coach to pen a new contract at the club as one fan stated that the progress the club have made since his arrival has been phenomenal.
It has been 13 years since the Yorkshire club tasted Premier League football and the belief amongst fans is that run could be ended under the guidance of Monk.
