By Amir Mir

Andrea Radrizzani has revealed that talks about Garry Monk’s future at the club will be made in June – and Leeds fans on Twitter have hit out at the co-owner for his comments.

Whites manager Monk has a contract at Elland Road which expires in the summer, with the possibility that his team could be a Premier League club by then.

The Yorkshire outfit are edging closer to securing a play-off place after their 3-0 win against Preston North End on Saturday afternoon.

These were the comments made by the club’s chief as posted on his personal Twitter account.

Fans were not pleased with Radrizzani because they feel Monk should instantly be given a new deal.

One supporter stated that the highly-rated coach should be signed up to a long-term contract because it gives players and fans stability.

Furthermore, the Elland Road faithful feel the club are leaving the talks to the last minute and need to start planning for the next campaign.

Since joining the club in the summer, Monk has become a popular figure amongst the fans as they dream of a return to the Premier League.

One fan felt that the former Swansea man should be given a six-year deal by the club as they made their feelings known.
