'It stinks', 'Serious attitude problem', Get rid - Leeds fans rage after big name goes rogue
By Richard Parks
Pontus Jansson has launched an extraordinary attack on former manager Thomas Christiansen over his treatment of fellow Swede Pawel Cibicki – and Leeds United fans have hit out at the defender on Twitter.
Cibicki, 24, arrived at Elland Road last summer from Malmo for a fee of around £1.5million amid a whirlwind of new signings.
But the former Sweden Under-21 international has struggled to make an impact and made just 10 appearances in all competitions.
Jansson, arguably Leeds’ prize playing asset, is unimpressed how his teammate has been treated, although he was quick to point out that he wasn’t putting any blame on to current manager Paul Heckingbottom.
Talking to Swedish outlet fotbollskanelen, Jansson said: “I think it’s pretty sick. We won four or five matches when he started and he did well, but later he did not play anymore.

“It’s the boring part of the football world with a lot of politics. I try to help Pawel every day and keep him in good mood.
“He did well when he played and he deserves more, but then I can understand the new coach who may not have seen Pawel so much.”
Jansson has gained a reputation for speaking from the heart, with his no-nonsense comments matching his undiluted playing style.
But a section of Leeds fans have questioned why he would go rogue and publicly disparage Christiansen, and also seemingly Heckingbottom, who has not selected Cibicki for any of the eight matches for which he has been in charge.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Where have players disappeared to?

Looking for ways out maybe. He does have a point though. He did well when played then we resort to Sacko

He calls it as he sees it. He’s involved daily yet fans have a go at him speaking out at what he sees. Breaking news. All Leeds players are at the club to earn money, simple as, same as every other player at every club. That’s modern football and it stinks

He needs to concentrate on his own game, overall this season he has not broke any pots,

Sounds like he’s trying to make the divorce messy. Funny actually as much as I like him I think the likes of him and Saiz’ attitude stinks
