Leeds fans must be baying for blood if Heckingbottom prediction comes true
It is fair to say that Leeds United fans would have been expecting so much more from their side this season, but they have already been warned that it could get worse before it gets better.
After finishing seventh in the Championship, within touching distance of the play offs, hopes were understandably high heading into the current campaign, and the arrival of Andrea Radrizzani would have only boosted belief that a top six finish was on the cards.
No one could have predicted how much of a disaster this season would be, as their bright start collapsed into bitter disappointment.
Now sitting in mid-table obscurity, this campaign must be about consolidation, and the Elland Road faithful will be expecting to see an improvement after what can be considered a transitional 12 months.
However, is Paul Heckingbottom’s prediction of what is to transpire this summer is correct, then the fans must be left baying for blood, with Radrizzani the target of their rage.

The manager has claimed that the Whites could be set for a “mid-table budget” when speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, and quite frankly, that is not good enough from the Italian.
????️PH on squad: "As people they have been good and the response has been good. We are going to have to do a lot of things better next season if we are going to try and get in that top 6 especially if we are going to have a mid-table budget" #lufc

How are the club meant to have any aspiration of a top six finish if the money being offered up is comparable to those sitting in and around 12th?
That is not progress but regression, and there is no way the Elland Road crowd can stand for it after their years of frustration.
That seventh placed finish was by no means a fluke – Garry Monk built an impressive side which worked hard for results – but that has dissipated as quickly as hopes of a play off spot have this year.
Significant money must be spent to improve the side – or Radrizzani’s head will well and truly be on the chopping block.
