Leeds fans destroy 25-year-old on Twitter after his display against Sutton

Marcus Antonsson failed to end his goal drought on his return to the Leeds starting XI in their FA Cup fourth round defeat to Sutton on Sunday – and fans took to Twitter to destroy the 25-year-old.
The Yorkshire giants suffered a humiliating 1-0 defeat to the non-league side, who pulled off one of the biggest upsets in this season’s FA Cup.
Jamie Collins’ second-half penalty sent the National League side through to Monday’s draw with a deserved victory over the third-placed Championship side.
Antonsson, who was recalled to the team for the first time since the third round win over Cambridge earlier this month, played the full 90 minutes of the encounter.
But the striker, 25, could not end his goal-less run that now dates back to 25 October, when he scored in the League Cup win over Norwich.

Supporters were unanimous in their criticism of Antonsson, with most claiming he is not good enough to be at Leeds and should be sold in the summer.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Disappointing performances from the so called 1st teamers today; Cooper, Dallas, Antonsson, Phillips. Further wasted opportunities #LUFC

Now might not be the time but really not sure where this leaves Antonsson. Opportunities limited but not taken the ones he’s had. #lufc

Another forgettable day for Grimes. And I’m afraid to say for Antonsson too. He’s had enough chances to impress now. Not good enough. #lufc

Can we all go back to agreeing how terrible Doukara is now. And Antonsson is not the answer either #lufc

Antonsson has had a disappointing debut season in English football after joining in a £3million deal from Kalmar FF last summer.
The 25-year-old has failed to displace Chris Wood as the first choice spearhead and has been used mainly as a substitute, with the match on Sunday just his 10th start of the season.
Leeds’ priority is to secure promotion back to the Premier League in a campaign in which they have punched above their weight to reach third position.
Garry Monk’s side are next in action on Wednesday when they continue their push for promotion when they travel to Blackburn in the league.
In other Leeds news, Monk has clinched his second January transfer.
