Leeds fans rage at Illan Meslier for what he did minutes after shocking gaffe
Leeds United fans were furious with Illan Meslier after the goalkeeper appeared chummy with Sunderland boss Regis le Bris immediately following his howler in their 2-2 draw.
Goals from Joel Piroe, 25, and Junior Firpo, 28, put the visitors ahead after Chris Rigg's ninth-minute opener at the Stadium of Light on Friday (October 4).
The West Yorkshire club were well on their way to securing an impressive away victory until the 24-year-old 'keeper made what could be the mistake of the season in the dying seconds of added time.
Firpo sent a lobbed pass back to Meslier in the 97th minute but instead of calmly collecting, the Frenchman let it bounce and the ball trickled into the back of the net.

Le Bris, who worked with Meslier at Lorient consoled his former player, with the two appearing to share a joke minutes after the shocking gaffe.
Leeds fans who spotted the exchange on live television footage were seriously unimpressed.
