Leeds fans on Twitter are worried that Aston Villa could make a late promotion charge after they secured a seventh win in eight matches on Tuesday night.

Steve Bruce's side are the Championship's in-form team and kept their faint play-off hopes alive with a 1-0 win against QPR at Villa Park on Tuesday night.

It was a fourth consecutive triumph for the expensively-assembled Villa team, who are starting to gel following their expensive January overhaul.

This has created fresh tension among the better placed promotion hopefuls, including Leeds, who suffered a 2-0 defeat at Brentford on Tuesday night.

It was a second consecutive league loss for Garry Monk's side, who remain in fifth position and five points clear of Fulham in seventh.

Nevertheless, fans of Leeds are worried about Villa continuing their late charge and sneaking into the play-offs.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Kodjia has been the driving force behind the renaissance of Bruce's team that has given their long-suffering fans hope of a late promotion surge.

Villa are 11th in the league and have narrowed the gap on Sheffield Wednesday in the final play-off position to nine points.
