Hope someone has chucked it in the sea – Leeds fans react to latest official club news

Leeds United have revealed that they are delaying the introduction of a new badge until the 2019/20 season.
This comes after the new badge that was unveiled was met by universal ridicule by fans and pundits alike.
That led to a Leeds u-turn and the club asked for submissions from fans and they have said that they have received over 1,200 designs.
In a statement, Leeds said that because of the amount of designs they had received and the focus on the 100 year anniversary, that the badge would be decided by a democratic vote later this year.
The new badge would then be unveiled for the 2019/20 season.
The news was reported by Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay on Thursday lunchtime.

Fans responded immediately, with most saying it was a smart move to delay it until the centenary season.
A few made reference to the old design, with one fan saying he hopes someone has thrown it in the sea.
