'Secretly Brazilian', 'Unplayable' - Leeds fans rave about midfielder after win v Burton

By Danny Wright

Leeds United fans have waxed lyrical about midfielder Eunan O’Kane after he played a starring role in Saturday’s 5-0 hammering of Burton at Elland Road.

Although it will undoubtedly be the attackers that steal the headlines for such an emphatic win, it was the performance of O’Kane, 27, that stole the imagine of Leeds supporters for controlling the play in the centre of the pitch.

The Whites’ brilliant start to the Championship season continued against lowly Burton thanks to goals from Kalvin Phillips, Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe sandwiched between a Pierre-Michel Lasogga brace.

The emphatic victory has taken the Whites up to second place in the league standings and extends their unbeaten run to six games – with no goals conceded in the last five.

There were many players that could have been hailed for their display against Burton, but O’Kane was dubbed as being man of the match by one thrilled fan on Twitter.

Republic of Ireland international O’Kane has been in top form for Leeds this season but it seems that his outing against Burton on Saturday was the best of all.

He has made six appearances across all competitions this season and is doing a great job to keep some of the summer signings out of Thomas Christiansen’s first team plans.

In other Leeds United news, this forward can’t wait to get going for the Whites after signing an out-of-window deal.
