Leeds fans react on Twitter to Aston Villa win against Sheffield Wednesday
By Amir Mir
Aston Villa beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 on Saturday afternoon – and Leeds fans on Twitter provided a mixed reaction to Wednesday dropping points.
While Villa were beating Carlos Carvahal’s side, their Yorkshire rivals recorded a stalemate against QPR at Elland Road.
As a result, many fans believe it was a missed opportunity from their team, especially considering seventh-placed Fulham outclassed and beat leaders Newcastle on the same day.
Those results mean that the Whites remain in fourth place in the table on 66 points from their 37 matches, four points ahead of sixth-placed Wednesday and six points ahead of Fulham who have a game in hand.
One Whites fan stated that his team needs to up their game if they want to win the play-offs at the end of the season.

Furthermore, others felt that Monk’s side could have done more as they saw the negative aspect of their team dropping points.
But, other sections of the Elland Road faithful saw it as a point gained by their club with nine games of the Championship season remaining.
Huddersfield, Leeds, Reading, Sheffield Wednesday, Fulham and possibly Preston are the teams contesting for those top six spots with Newcastle and Brighton sitting in the automatic places.
Wednesday were beaten in the play-off final last season when Steve Bruce’s, now manager of Villa, Hull side beat the Yorkshire club at Wembley, thanks to a spectacular goal from Mo Diame.
