Leeds fans react on Twitter to Jansson post about next season
By Derek Smithson
Leeds defender Pontus Jansson has stated on Twitter “see you next season” – and the club’s supporters have expressed their delight that he will be at Elland Road next year.
The 26-year-old became a fan favourite last season following his loan move from Torino, which was turned into a permanent three-year switch in January.
“It has been the most eventful season during my career and I have everyone around Leeds to thank for that. See you next season,” Jansson wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Jansson was one of the outstanding players for the Whites throughout the campaign and was included in the EFL team of the season.
The centre-back was a commanding figure in the heart of the defence and formed a great understanding alongside loanee Kyle Bartley.

His performances in the Championship haven’t gone unnoticed with teams in the top flight as the Daily Star reported in April that Premier League side Southampton were lining up a £10million bid.
However, Jansson has revealed his intentions ahead of next season and will be hoping he can achieve promotion during his second year in England.
Leeds fans have raved about the qualities of Jansson on social media and are excited about the prospect of him staying with the Yorkshire giants.
