Leeds fans react on Twitter to reported interest in 25-year-old defender

By Dominic Toner

Swansea defender Kyle Bartley is being eyed by three Premier League clubs – and Leeds fans have pleaded with their side to secure a deal for their loan star.

The 25-year-old has been in great form since his season-long loan move to Elland Road and played a major role in their push for promotion, but his performances have caught the attention of several suitors.

The Sun claim that Burnley, Bournemouth and Stoke are all considering summer moves for Bartley.

It is understood that Whites manager Garry Monk would be interested in signing the centre-back if his side get promoted through the play-offs.

Leeds fans are desperate to Bartley to remain with the club beyond his loan deal and feel he has been an influential figure this season.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Bartley moved to Leeds last summer to experience regular first team football after falling down the pecking order at Swansea.

The defender previously worked with Monk at the Liberty Stadium and the manager has put his faith in the centre-back this season.

He has been a crucial player for the Whites and has captained the team on occasions.

Leeds are desperate to return to the Premier League and their success this season has been built on a strong defence, while striker Chris Wood has been in sensational form to score the goals.

Bartley has slotted in strongly alongside Sweden international Pontus Jansson and the pair are two of the most formidable defenders in the division.

In other Leeds transfer news, they have been tipped to sign a goalscoring midfielder.
