That's his summer exit signed - Leeds fans react to Sky pundit destroying senior player

By Richard Parks
Former Leeds United goalkeeper Paul Robinson has urged the club to get rid of Felix Wiedwald in the summer – and fans on Twitter have echoed his view.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ football channel on Sunday, the former England keeper destroyed Wiedwald after his error-riddled performance in the team’s thrilling 2-2 draw against Bristol City in the Championship at Elland Road.
The German, who signed from Werder Bremen last summer, was caught horribly out of position for the first first City goal, missing a punch and leaving Famara Diedhiou to knock the ball into his net.
Robinson, who spent six years at Leeds at the start of his career, has watched Wiedwald, 27, make a number of high profile errors this season and believes he is not up to the mark at such a demanding club.
“I think they need another goalkeeper, to be brutally honest,” Robinson told Sky Sports in the immediate aftermath of the televised fixture. “I’ve seen him a couple of times this season and he hasn’t filled me with confidence.
“It spreads through the team when your goalkeeper makes errors like that. Your defenders are wondering what you’re going to do next.
“He went out of the team for seven games, Andy Lonergan came in. He’s been put back in the team, made an awful error at QPR a few weeks ago. He’s done the same again today.
“He didn’t look confident and doesn’t look the whole package. He played Under-21s for Germany, he’s 27 now and should be more developed as a goalkeeper. That’s an area Leeds are going to have to look to strengthen.”
Leeds fans on Twitter were in broad agreement with their former goalkeeper.
A few mentioned how low the club had sunk in having such an average number one after once having Robinson between the sticks, while one supporter claim the Sky pundit is so influential that Wiedwald’s exit is “officially signed”.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Robinson retired from playing last summer after an impressive career in which he had lengthy spells at Leeds, Tottenham and Blackburn Rovers, and accumulated 41 England caps.
United ended the weekend 11th in the league table, eight points and five places behind Bristol City in the final play-off spot.
Paul Heckingbottom’s side are next in action when they travel to fourth-placed Derby County on Wednesday night.
In other Leeds United news, Robinson drools over the one player at Elland Road who has blown him away this season.
