'Can't wait' - Leeds fans react in droves after Radrizzani posts upbeat message about players
By Harry Sykes
Andrea Radrizzani posted a Twitter rallying call ahead of Leeds’ final match of the season – and supporters besieged him with messages urging him to tie Garry Monk down to a long-term contract.
The Elland Road joint-owner is set for contract talks with Monk in the immediate aftermath of Sunday’s Championship clash against Wigan at the DW Stadium.
The manager, 38, has said he is out of contract at the end of the campaign and supporters are concerned at reports that the club are considering alternative managerial from overseas.
Radrizzani took to his personal Twitter account on Saturday to reveal there has been a “good atmosphere” among the players at their Thorp Arch training headquarters as final preparations are made for Sunday’s match.
He urged the team to finish what has been a generally uplifting campaign in style as he thanked fans for their support.

Leeds’ promotion dream ended when they failed to beat Norwich last weekend, condemning the club to another season in the Championship.
The Yorkshire giants will end the league season in seventh irrespective of results on Sunday due to their seven-point lead over Norwich in eighth place.
In other Leeds United news, it can be exclusively revealed that the club registered a new signing last month.
