Leeds fans react to speculation club have signed top-flight teenager
By Alex Stevens
Leeds have reportedly signed Irish defender Paudie O’Connor from Limerick – and fans have taken to Twitter to welcome him to Elland Road.
The Irish Examiner claim the centre-back, 19, has agreed a two-and-a-half year contract with the Yorkshire giants that was signed on Monday morning.
The report comes after the teenager took to his personal Twitter account to say his goodbyes to League of Ireland premier division club Limerick and thank the club for his development since he joined in 2014.

O’Connor, who doesn’t turn 20 until July, played 40 League games for Limerick, scoring three times.
His performances in 2016 saw him voted Limerick’s young player of the year for a second consecutive season as well as earn him a place in the PFAI First Division team of the year.
Leeds are next in action on Tuesday night when they travel to Fulham aiming to secure a third consecutive Championship and maintain their impressive promotion challenge.
