Jay-Roy Grot finally got his first goal for Leeds since his £1.5million move from NEC Nijmegen and fans are delighted for him.

It was one of the only bright lights from a drab afternoon at Elland Road that got worse in the dying seconds of the game when the visitors snatched all three points.

Grot didn't start the game – manager Paul Heckingbottom let Caleb Ekuban lead the line again – but he was introduced in the 77th minute.

Grot replaced left-back Tom Pearce who made his senior debut for the side.

And he made an almost immediate impact, scoring what looked like the goal that would secure Leeds a point after falling behind in the 71st minute.

However, Leeds couldn't hold onto the point and Atdhe Nuhiu scored at the death to bring more boos at Elland Road.

It's been a tough time since Heckingbottom took over but fans are hoping that Grot can kick on and finally deliver what his price tag suggested he would be capable of.
