Leeds have moved one giant step closer to signing Carpi striker Jerry Mbakogu, after he was officially made an Italian citizen, but fans are not putting down the red carpet for him.
The picture of him signing the official documents was posted on the Carpi Twitter page on Thursday afternoon and fans are worried that it means the striker will soon be a Leeds player.

The Yorkshire Evening Post had previously claimed that Leeds were just waiting for him to get his Italian passport before concluding a deal that they’ve been thrashing out since January.
But Leeds fans can’t believe that the club is set to spend £4million – a big part of its summer budget – on a striker who can’t set Serie B alight.
He’s only scored eight goals in 23 games this season and 37 goals in 128 appearances for his side, adding 22 assists.
Leeds fans are not convinced he’s the man to solve their problems or fire them towards the Premier League in the 18/19 season.

Sorry IMO this would not be good value for money with very average scoring record in Serie B !

Imagine if he comes in, first game gets a 🎩 trick. Him and Caleb hit it off straightaway. He ends up scoring 30 goals in his first season and 15 assists. Can you imagine it? No me neither.😐

No more unproven strikers please! We’re trying to get to the premier league! If we sign this guy, we’ve learnt nothing.
