Leeds fans call for 27-year-old to be axed after display v QPR
By Will Butcher
Leeds fans were calling for the head of 27-year-old captain Liam Bridcutt on Twitter as Garry Monk’s side stuttered to a 0-0 draw against QPR.
Former Sunderland midfielder Bridcutt was a passenger throughout the match, as Leeds failed to take advantage of the home crowd in a frustrating draw for the Yorkshire giants.
The draw leaves Leeds in fourth place, after Reading and Sheffield Wednesday suffered losses to Preston and Aston Villa respectively.
Midfielder Bridcutt, who started alongside teenager Ronaldo Vieira, failed to control the middle of the park against Ian Holloway’s QPR – and the end result was two dropped points in the quest for promotion.
Leeds fans reacted to Bridcutt’s display, with many claiming he is currently out of form and needs to be dropped ahead of the next game – a crunch clash against Brighton.

For me in midfield we have always looked out best with kalvin Phillips in there! Bridcutt doesn't look half the player he did last season !

Wearing the armband, Bridcutt has made just 20 appearances for Leeds this season after breaking his foot back in September which kept him sidelined for three months.
However, his form since returning to Monk’s side has failed to return to the lofty heights that was expected of him prior to the injury.
