Leeds fans react on Twitter to emotional message from Pontus Jansson
By Harvey Byrne
Leeds fans have responded positively to star centre-back Pontus Jansson’s emotional Twitter message to fans after the club’s midweek defeat against Brentford.
The Yorkshire giants are currently enduring a poor spell of form which has seen them win just one of their last five fixtures with just six matches left of the season.
Now, summer addition Jansson had sat out of the weekend’s defeat against Reading as well as the previous win against Brighton.
But, he did play the full 90 minutes alongside Kyle Bartley in the back four in the 2-0 loss at Griffin Park and he had since taken to Twitter to apologise to supporters.

The social media post was generally greeted well by fans and many replied with their support for the Sweden international, while one pointed out that the team can’t win them all.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Can't win them all. Wish the team would start trying to catch the opposition out a bit with some clever set plays and quick thinking.

Leeds are currently sat in fifth place in the Championship table with five points separating them from Fulham outside of the play-offs.
They will be hoping to regain their form against Preston at Elland Road on Saturday, but Simon Grayson’s eighth placed side will provide another stern test for the Yorkshire club.
In other Leeds news, fans have urged Garry Monk to start this 24-year-old at the weekend.
