Leeds fans react on Twitter to Vieira display against Rotherham
By Harvey Byrne
Ronaldo Vieira came off the bench at half-time against Rotherham on Monday afternoon – and Leeds fans on Twitter were very impressed with the young talent’s display.
The 18-year-old started on the sidelines for the second match in a row, but he came out for the second half after Garry Monk’s side struggled through the first half.
Vieira joined Liam Bridcutt in the team’s midfield and at his young age he provided a calming presence to a Leeds side which was struggling.
The Yorkshire giants scored all three goals after he entered the pitch with a Kyle Bartley header and Chris Wood double bringing a 3-0 victory for Monk’s side.
Fans were hugely impressed by the performance of the emerging star with many hailing his contribution.

Big call but the right call to bring Vieira on at HT and take a forward player off as we were being caught in midfield the first half #lufc

Smart change by Monk, Hernandez was dropping too deep first half, Sacko was rubbish…Vieira made a massive difference #lufc

Vieira was the game changer there. Big second half but each goal was class. Woods first the best IMO #lufc

The win on Monday has seen Leeds remain in fifth place, but after Derby’s heavy defeat against Norwich they have now moved five points clear of seventh.
They also made up points on second placed Newcastle, who suffered a shock 1-0 defeat against Blackburn.
With seven points now separating the two Championship giants, Monk’s outfit will be keeping one eye on the automatic spots with their recent form not showing any signs of slowing down.
