Leeds fans were delighted this fixture was given the go-ahead on Friday lunchtime, but by half-time they were wishing it had been snowed off.

Two goals from Patrick Bamford gave the home side a deserved lead as Leeds looked powderpuff on a freezing night at the Riverside.

One player was on the lips of the Leeds fans at half-time – and he's been criticised before.

Goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald had another shaky time between the sticks and was at fault for both of Bamford's goals.

Fans had been calling for manager Paul Heckingbottom to drop him for the last couple of weeks and this performance might be enough to tempt him into drafting in veteran Andy Lonergan for the next game against Wolves on Wednesday.

Leeds couldn't get back into the game in the second half – in fact Bamford rounded off his hat-trick for a 3-0 win – and the defeat pretty much puts paid to their faint play-off hopes for this season.
