'Inexcusable', 'Awful' - Leeds fans slam senior player for performance v Norwich

Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to slam Kemar Roofe for his performance in the 1-0 win against Norwich at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

Roofe, 24, was off the boil for most of the game and infuriated those who watched on in the second-half when he wasted a massive chance to lay the ball into Pawel Cibicki to score his first goal for the club to instead have a shot himself – which was missed.

The former West Brom and Oxford attacker has been in decent goalscoring form as of late and netted a hat-trick in last week’s 3-1 win against QPR.

However it was a completely different type of display from the 24-year-old against Norwich where he really failed to get a grasp on proceedings.

Leeds fans took to social media to blast Roofe for his performance, with one saying:

Senior player Roofe has made 22 appearances across all competitions for Leeds in the first-team this season, scoring nine goals and supplying three assists in the process.

He has netted two hat-tricks this term in wins against QPR and Newport County but was unable to replicate that sort of form in front of goal against Norwich and it was perhaps out of frustration that he decided to have a shot at goal instead of playing in a team-mate.

In other Leeds United news, this Whites fringe player has dropped a huge hint about a potential future transfer away from Elland Road.
