Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to slam Ezgjan Alioski for his performance in the 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest at Elland Road on New Year’s Day.

Alioski, 25, has seen his form dip in the past few weeks and according to the home support, the Macedonia international was still not back to his best against managerless Forest and as a result was substituted at half-time.

Mark Warburton was sacked 24 hours before kick-off in Yorkshire on Monday, leading Gary Brazil to take caretaker charge of yet another Forest clash against Leeds.

In a game of few chances, the home side’s attackers did stand out with Samuel Saiz and Pablo Hernandez creating a number of chances.

However there was one attacker in particular to have stood out to fans that had a poor game, and that was attacker Alioski, as one supporter dubbed the ex-Lugano ace as being “absolute garbage”.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Alioski has been a mainstay of the Leeds first-team this season, making 27 appearances across all competitions since he was signed from Swiss outfit Lugano in the summer.

He netted four games in a row in November, but is yet to find the back of the net since that goalscoring blitz.

In other Leeds United news, the winner has been in named in the Whites’ pursuit of this top-flight goal machine with bags of international experience.
