'Best season', 'Luv him' - Leeds fans want 25-year-old at Elland Road next season

Leeds United supporters want to see striker Kemar Roofe remain at the club next season despite the fact that 25-year-old has been on the receiving end for much criticism this campaign.

A 14-goal haul seems to be enough to quell the fans insistence that they wanted the player binned.

11 goals in 27 starts in the Championship is a healthy return for the forward as he reminded fans of his value on the final game of the season, notching up one of the two goals in the 2-0 win against QPR on Sunday.

Signed from Oxford United in July 2016 after scoring 25 times in 49 outings in League Two, it was hoped he would repeat that fine form in front of goal in the Championship.

But his first season didn’t go to plan as he registered just four goals in 49 appearances, showing the step-up between leagues was harder than anticipated.

But, Roofe has managed to recapture something like the form that earnt him a move to Elland Road in the first place, and judging by reactions fans want to see that continue next season.
