'Like a Tesco carrier bag', 'Liability' - Leeds fans slam one player despite win v Brentford
Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to slam Eunan O’Kane for his performance in the 1-0 win against Brentford at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
O’Kane, 27, was drafted into the starting line-up after Adam Forshaw was forced to miss the game as his wife was expecting to give birth to his child.
Former Bournemouth ace O’Kane did little to impress the home crowd though as the midfielder constantly gave away possession.
Fans reacted angrily to his performance online, with one Leeds supporter saying that the 27-year-old showed he was a “liability” to the team with his sub-par outing.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
o'kane brings nothing more a liability badly missing Forshaw in the middle

Every time O’Kane touches the ball he turns possession over. Every time he tries to win it back he’s like a Tesco carrier bag floating around their feet. #LUFC

O’Kane has made 26 appearances in all competitions for Leeds this season, supplying three assists in the process.
The Irish central midfielder was a regular under Thomas Christiansen’s leadership, playing a vital role in the first few months of the season when United dominated the Championship.
However as Leeds’ form deteriorated, as did O’Kane’s and it now seems that he may below Forshaw and Kalvin Phillips in the pecking order once Forshaw returns following the birth of his child.
Next up for Leeds is a clash against Tony Pulis’ Middlesbrough at the Riverside next Friday night.
In other Leeds United news, this summer signing has confirmed that he has jetted out to the Middle East.
